Hawaii

The Hawaiian Islands have many eco-systems and climates. Due to frequent rain and sunshine, climate changes in Hawaii creates a fast vegetative turnover and constant growth. Coconuts, papayas, avocados, breadfruit, and bananas are always available. Enough with drinking bottled packaged coconut water, I encourage people to come eat and drink fresh from the trees!

Events

VegFest Oahu is a celebration of island-style plant-based, sustainable living. The free festival brings together more than 50 booths offering education, food, and entertainment. Activities include: plant-based cooking demos by expert chefs; speakers on health and environmental topics; a mouthwatering variety of vegan vendors offering ethnic dishes, local favorites, and comfort foods; yoga and dance classes; lots of free product sampling; and continuous live music.

Animals

Animal Rights Hawai’i is a not for profit animal advocacy organization. We are all volunteers and are deeply committed to working for total animal liberation. Animal Rights Hawai’i is not a shelter nor do we provide legal advice. We do campaign for more statutory protection for animals and for more aggressive enforcement of existing laws.

We are advocates for animals and we achieve this through a variety of activities:

– Public education

– Investigation

– Litigation

– Direct action which benefits the planet and its inhabitants – animals, both human and non-human.

Animal Rights Hawai’i strives to eliminate animal suffering wherever it’s found, especially here in Hawai’i. We are opposed to the use of animals for food, clothing, experimentation, and entertainment. Aloha, for the animals!

Explore an island paradise where farm animals rescued from slaughter and callous hunters live in sheltered harmony. Take a personal guided tour and hear their stories. Kiss a donkey, cuddle a chicken, feed bunnies and guinea pigs, frolic with goats, and lose yourself in the soulful brown eyes of a cow.
